There are 3 basic steps that a person can take to help them make a wise career choice in their student career planning. |
|
1. |
Figure out where your career interests are by asking yourself: |
• |
Where do my interests lie? |
• |
What do I do well and enjoy? |
• |
What kind of personality do I have? |
• |
What's really important to me? |
• |
What are my values? |
|
|
|
|
|
2. |
Learn
about your career options. Your NIFA’s Career
Counselors would be a help to you .
Also, talk to people through informational interviews.
The more career planning that you can do as a
student, the better prepared you will be when
you start to look for your first job. |
3 |
Sort out your priorities for a career. After you've spent time on steps one and two, some of your strong preferences may start to emerge. You might learn you don't want to be in an office environment. Whatever it is that you learn about yourself, you're making important discoveries that will help you choose a good career when the time comes. |

| How to Choose for a Training Center ? |
|
1. |
Consider which courses you've want to do and the No. of Trg. Centers for it. |
2 |
See
the No. of Experience Years of the
Center, their credibility, the Course Type & Infrastructure present |
3 |
Investigate the quality of the Faculty and courses. |
4 |
Think about the growth of the career field that interests you. Is the field dynamic and growing, or is hard to find a job in that field? |
5 |
Other items to keep in mind is to think about the types of salaries that a potential career field leads to. Will this maintain the type of lifestyle that you would like to lead? |

| Career Guidance Note to Parents and Guardians |
|
As a parent of a teenager you want only the very best for your son or daughter. One area that is very important is often ignored or simplyleft to chance....Namely...helping your son or daughter choose a career direction and helping them with their student career planning. Most teens have very little, if any, help in developing a career direction while still in school. They are often influenced by the media or by their friends. If they are college bound, they may simply keep changing streams until they 'find something they like'.So Listen to them , take interest & guide them for the success path |
